Sushi-Ya is located on the outer fringes of Chatswood’s primary shopping district on Victoria Ave. Though there are plenty of eateries to choose from along the main strip, Sushi-Ya is worth visiting if you’re after some tasty sushi.

We ordered an assortment of sushi and nigiri rolls, as well as some Karage Chicken to share. The sushi was nice and fresh and tasted great, although I wish we had been a little more adventurous with our choices :)

I found Karage Chicken to be a little bit of a let down. Nothing terrible, but definitely pales in comparision to the Karage Chicken from Ju Ju Japenese Tavern Restaurant in Kings Cross. Then again, maybe I’m expecting too much from a little Japanese Restaurant in the suburbs?

As with most Japanese restaurants I’ve visited, the service at Sushi-Ya is warm, friendly and very welcoming. If you’re after some nice sushi for a casual lunch in Chatswood, I do recommend you try Sushi-Ya.
