This Queen’s birthday, my mates and I visited Me Oi in Strathfield. The interior is welcoming and so are the staff. Check out those big turquoise lanterns!
I had Pho Rare Beef. Chunks of beef with a pink center plus chili oil. It really packs a punch. My two other mates ordered a Cooked Beef Pho which had a richer oilier broth and the Combination Pho which had paper thin strips of tripe. It had a beautiful texture.
This is one of the only Vietnamese places in Strathfield that has good pho. It is a great place to go on a cold winters day. Small bowls set you back $14. Large bowls range from $16 onward. Me Oi has another outlet in CBD: 378 Pitt St, Sydney. I guess with soup like that, every business person needs it to power on for the rest of the day. Or better still, get delivery!
